Steve is past president of the Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers, and has been listed as one of the Top 5 loan officers and Top 5 mortgage companies in the state of Georgia by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Devoting himself to reading and studying the behavior of others, Steve has interviewed hundreds of top salespeople to identify the common elements of success.
Through trial and error, he developed his remarkable system of "helping people but not hustling" them for business." As President of Home Town Mortgage, he has taught his strategies to the people that work there, with amazing results. "Bass-Ackward Business" helped him recruit and retain the top mortgage people in the area.
Steve has served on the boards of numerous non-profits and has led the way in proposing innovative marketing ideas to help them grow their businesses.
He has for several years hosted monthly overnight brainstorming sessions for leading business people at his cabin in the North Georgia mountains. He is a former member of Vistage with other CEOs. the world's foremost chief executive leadership organization which meets frequently discuss strategy with local CEOs.
